Min: Russia not to export gasoline, diesel fuel to Belarus
MOSCOW, Oct 11 (PRIME) -- Russia will only export those oil products that to Belarus doesn’t produce, not gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Novak and Belarusian Prime Minister Igor Lyashenko signed amendments to a 2007 agreement on cooperation in exports of oil and oil products, setting balances for oil product supplies in November–December and in 2019. A source told PRIME later that the balances include zero exports of dark oil products from Russia to Belarus.
“The protocol that we’ve signed is an annex to the agreement between Russia and Belarus, it encompasses not only a ban on supplies of oil products like dark oil products and diesel fuel so that the proportions and budget revenues are kept in line with pre-developed figures…It also includes partial supplies of some oil products that Belarus does not produce but that are vital for the country from the point of internal consumption,” he said.
The annex ensures supplies of oil products like paints and lacquers and other chemical products. “Regarding gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil, we signed zero indicative balances on them,” he said.
